Fall Color Tour 2014

12/19/14 – This article is dedicated to my best Fall Color photos from this year’s Fall Color Tour. Autumn is one of my favorite seasons, for the changing colors, for the great Bass fishing before winter, and also for the ever changing weather conditions. We could have bright sunny days with warm temperatures, stormy days (including severe weather) or even snowy days. Autumn is a transitional time of year. My favorite things of all though, are the Fall Colors. Click Here to read all about the Fall Color process. It’s fascinating. This year’s foliage display was one to remember. It was one of the best that I have ever witnessed in my whole entire life. Only 2010 and 2008 come close. The best colors lasted for weeks! Great weather for getting out to enjoy them as well. I was able to do a lot of great things with my photography of the colors this season. So here on this last day of Fall, I present to you, Fall Color Tour … Read More…

The First Snow! 10/31/14

10/31/14 – The first snow of the season just happened to fall on Halloween this year. On October 27th, we have high temperatures in the mid 70s, but the weather pattern was soon to change, and when it did, it was drastic. The snow didn’t really stick most of the day, and in my area at least, it wasn’t coming down too terribly hard until later in the afternoon hours. Once the snow picked up in intensity, I decided to head out and get some photos and video footage of it. In this article you will see the wet road conditions, the windy and snowy conditions, and also a close up view of the potato harvesting equipment. There’s also Fall colors in various scenes. The tale of two seasons! Enjoy. … Read More…

Baldwin Lake Fall Colors

10/13/14 – This was a rainy day. Mild, but rainy. I decided it would be a good day to head out and shoot some Fall colors. I brought my fishing gear along as well to see if I could catch anything while I was there. What I didn’t know was, I was about to snap one of my very best Fall colors photos of all time. Foliage has always been a strong suit for me and my photography, so it’s not unusual for me to head out and find the best photo ops I can. Today was no different. As the showers moved through on and off throughout the day, I captured a few images of their results. Raindrops on the window, raindrops on the leaves, and then suddenly the sky just took on this amazing color and texture scheme. The sun began to shine through the clouds a bit too, which illuminated the sky, trees and helped enhance the reflection off of Baldwin Lake. This was truly a once … Read More…

Rainy Day On The Trails

10/12/14 – It was a rainy day to be out on the trails, but I didn’t let that stop me from heading out and enjoying the day. Temperatures were warm enough to where the rain really didn’t bother me. I set out to fish originally, and then along the way, I found much in the way of Fall foliage. Fishing took a back seat, and I decided to go documenting photos instead. There was fog on areas of the river too, which was pretty cool to see. Some of the trees were a brilliant orange, with red and yellow mixed in. Some of the trees were mostly yellow, and many still green. I snapped an assortment of images along the Fred Meijer Flat River Trail, and also a couple of images that showed the Fred Meijer Heartland Trail. One of which showing the old railroad bridge. I also found a couple of blankets along the trail, which I thought was intriguing. I have no idea what they were there for, … Read More…

Fall Colors At The Lakes

10/11/14 – This was an absolutely gorgeous day to be outdoors! Sunshine, warm temperatures, and hardly a cloud in the sky. I decided to head out to a couple of lakes to do some photography, and also some fishing. Though I didn’t catch much in the fish department, what I captured in photos was well worth the trip down there. Simply gorgeous conditions, bright and vivid Fall colors all around. I shot most of these images looking up into the trees. Something I have done before, but it never gets old. I started out at a lake I frequent for fishing and cycling. I snapped a few images of the water, including the sun shining down into the weed bed just off the dock. A few contrails made nice accents to the sky as well. After that, I moved on around the lake on my bicycle to shoot some Fall colors. I was able to see some stunning colors. After I was done there, I decided to head over to … Read More…

Fall Colors, Sunset, and Nature Scenes

10/9/14 – Today was a day that would lead me on a cycling adventure discovering beautiful Fall Colors, and wonderful Sunset and Nature Scenes. I decided to snap lots of photos while on this adventure, so there’s lots to look at below. This is more of a photo blog article, so I’ll keep the wording short. In the collection of photos below, you will see such things as Fall colors, roadside grasses lit up by the sun, Milkweed seeds, a large Fire Ant mound, a Bald Faced Hornet nest, an interesting mushroom, some flowers, and nice sunset scenes at the golf course. All in all, it was a great (though chilly) afternoon/evening on the bike. I hope you enjoy looking through these, and as always, feel free to share this article! 🙂 ~Nature Is Beautiful~ If you would like to purchase any of these images, please feel free to get in touch with me at my facebook page, or at the contact page. … Read More…

A Fall Color Day

9/29/14 – On this day, I decided to take my bicycle down to the lake to go fishing. Along the way, I decided to get some photos of the beautiful fall colors that were really beginning to show up on the trees. My adventures took me down the Flat River Fred Meijer Trail, and through part of the cemetery. In this entry, you will see a collection of fall color photos. Most of which are Maple trees exhibiting bright oranges. It was another great day in a beautiful stretch of weather. Michigan is one of the best states in the US for viewing fall colors! Enjoy!
